Sustainable Sustainability
In the fast paced world of hospitality it can be hard to make impactful differences or meaningful longterm changes that stick. We believe that one way to tackle this challenge is through having approaches in place that can scale across businesses and are built into the fabric of our everyday operations. To give you a flavour of how we achieve this please see some highlights below.

INK CARTIDGE RECYCLING
We are now partnered with HP to recycle our ink cartridges. None of our ink cartridges are ever sent to landfill. Our cartridges are packed up and recycled efficiently and repurposed. This avoids waste and gives products a renewed life.

WASTE & RECYCLING
All our businesses keep waste to a minimum by doing everything we reasonably can to prevent, reuse, recycle or recover waste where possible. This includes everything from food and drink products to packaging and glass bottles.

TECHNOLOGY
We have started our journey to becoming greener but there is always more to do. At our Church Suites site, we currently use new heating technology to power our heating through the use of by bio-pellets.

ENERGY EFFICIENT LIGHTING
Our businesses have been designed to maintain energy-efficient standards. We have used energy-efficient lighting throughout all our buildings in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint wherever possible. We also use energy-efficient materials in all new builds to make sure we waste as little energy as possible from the start.

PLANTING TREES
We at Hargreaves Enterprises work with a partner business to plant trees each month. By doing this we hope to reduce our carbon footprint, provide homes for all creatures great and small, and create jobs for others. Though we know this won’t offset our total Carbon Footprint by itself, we also know that we have to make a start at giving back to our planet & helping our environment. As a company, we see this as one way to do so. What's more, we get to include every guest who visits one of our businesses in this journey as well.
As always we will continue to explore other ways that we can reduce our impact and consumption of resources, whilst being able to give back to our planet.
