As a member of the Front of House team at The Fizzy Tarté, you will play an important part in every guest's experience from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner.

  • Taking food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.

  • Serving cocktails, Champagne, food and afternoon teas to our service standards.

  • Developing a strong knowledge of our food and drinks menus.

  • Recommending drinks and products based on guests' preferences.

  • Taking cash, card and mobile payments and accurately settling customer accounts.

  • Using our reservation and EPOS systems.

  • Helping manage bookings and the flow of guests through the venue.

  • Communicating effectively with the bar, kitchen and wider team.

  • Answering questions about menu items, ingredients, allergens, prices and bookings.

  • Checking food orders before they are served to guests.

  • Keeping service areas clean, organised and well presented.

  • Completing opening and closing duties and operational checklists.

  • Following our Standard Operating Procedures, food safety requirements, licensing procedures and health and safety standards.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for people who:

  • Are friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with guests.

  • Have strong communication skills.

  • Work well as part of a team.

  • Can remain organised and positive during busy periods.

  • Take pride in their appearance and the presentation of the venue.

  • Are reliable and take responsibility for their work.

  • Are keen to learn and develop.

  • Are comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

  • Are available to work a mixture of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Previous hospitality experience is helpful, but it is not essential. We can teach you our systems, menus and service standards; attitude and personality are just as important to us.

 Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, café or premium hospitality environment.

  • Experience with table service or waiting on.

  • An interest in cocktails, Champagne, food and the wider drinks industry.

  • Good product knowledge or a willingness to develop it.

  • Confidence recommending and upselling products where appropriate.

  • A good level of spoken and written English.

  • The ability to work comfortably on your feet during busy shifts.

  • £13.00–£13.50 per hour, depending on experience.
